The Outdoor Lifestyle Collection features premium-quality hardwood furniture made from the finest 100% genuine, natural Brazilian Cherry. Each annual season the lumber is hand-selected and this ultimately results in a better quality of timber – healthier wood, straighter grains and with less knots. Ideal for use in quality outdoor furniture. The timber is then kiln-dried in their own kilns to achieve the correct wood moisture content. Then, it is meticulously manufactured to exact mortise and tenon tolerances, both machine and hand-sanded and finally, hand-finished and packaged.

New River Casual Furniture Products are manufactured from 100% natural and legal, responsibly-harvested Brazilian Cherry (trade name), commonly referred to "Jatoba." This rich wood species is a very beautiful reddish brown wood with an interlocking grain and a golden luster or glow beneath.

It is a dense, heavy and very strong wood... 238% denser than Teak, having a specific gravity of .91. The Janka hardness of a particular wood is used as an indicator of its durability and resistance to wear and denting. On this scale, Jatoba is roughly 81% harder than red oak, 78% harder than ash, 62% harder than hard maple, 23% harder than jarrah, and is just over 6% harder than santos mahogany's ranking of 2200.
