Pete came out during our remodel and measured everything and addressed our concerns. Said we were good to go. We met Brian at the store and picked out a beautiful insert that meets our needs. Pete’s son (sorry forgot his name) did the install. A very easy process, great service and great price! Can’t use it quite yet but will update when we do! Used Aspen in the past for our parents’ homes and our daughter’s. Highly recommend.

Very pleased with service this morning. Serviceman arrived exactly on time and diagnosed the problem very quickly. Gave information on what to look for in the future and how to solve problem if this happens again.

Another company in town inspected our direct vent fireplace, charging $259 to tell us that the igniter part for our 20-year old fireplace was no longer made. The inspector said they would have to tear down our fireplace, including the facade, and put in a whole new unit. Their estimate was $16,000!!!!! And that's no typo.

A few weeks later, we called Aspen for an estimate. Andy from Aspen said we just needed a new igniter part, which he said might be pricy – he estimated @$700 — but was available online. He said he would call when the part came in. As promised, he called us when the part came in, came over and installed, and the total cost was $598. Our fireplace is working beautifully!

$16,000 vs. $598? I wholeheartedly recommend Aspen Fireplace for honest, dependable work.

Michael Yoakum was very helpful in arranging purchase of a Travis Industries fireplace and shipping it to me. We were familiar with the unit having seen two of the same model installed in an authentic adobe house here in Albuquerque. This particular Travis Industries model gas fireplace is perfect for the "kiva" style installation in pueblo revival architecture houses here in the Southwest. In 2018, we chose Aspen to replace a standard gas log fireplace that sent more heat up the chimney than into the house. We had intentions of doing a ventless system, but they recommended installing a direct vent fireplace. They also took the mantle area down to the studs and rebuilt it to code, using a stone finish and custom mantle. Aesthetically, it was a huge upgrade to our house, and functionally it has been great.

Today (1/26/21) was the first time we needed to call for service, thinking the draft we were feeling was from a seal that might have opened up. Needless to say, Pete came out, talked through what the issue was (it had nothing to do with their craftsmanship or product failure), reminded us about yearly maintenance needs and was on his way.

Both experiences have been great. The team is clean when they are in the house, attentive to questions you have and overall a great business to work with.

Aspen Fireplace & Patio earned a 5-star review. We wanted a gas insert to replace a wood burner and went to Aspen first because of the reviews including Angie’s List. Tom listened to what we wanted, showed us examples on the floor, and guided us as we settled on a style/model. A few weeks later we got a call that Pete would come out and see what was needed for proper venting and to take measurements. Based on his visit a less expensive model was recommended. Asking how long he had worked for the company “Pete” turned out to be the owner who clearly sets the tone for business because he loves what he does. The insert was installed a couple weeks earlier than expected so just in time for Christmas. We are pleased to recommend Aspen Fireplace & Patio as it is a local family-owned and operated business that truly exceeded our expectations.

I shopped around greater Columbus to have our fireplace converted into a vented gas system and most places had a very limited selection of options and non of them could do a complete install. Aspen not only has a huge range of options but they offered a complete install with running my new gas line, everyone else just told me to find a contractor or hire a plumber. Aspen really is a one stop shop!

When we lived in our last house, we had Aspen Fireplace install a gas fireplace in our living room, where there was no fireplace. We did a lot of shopping around before we chose Aspen, but we liked the fact that they had a finish carpenter on staff so they could do the entire project for us. Their carpenter, Brian, was awesome! He not only built the mantel, but the glass-enclosed bookcases on either side of the fireplace. They suggested things we would not have thought of, like putting beaded glass in the glass doors. We arranged with a window installer (Hanawalt) to add two small windows on either side of the fireplace, so it looked like it had been there all along. We were very pleased with the result. We now live in another house, and once again we are working with Aspen on another fireplace project. We would highly recommend Aspen to anyone considering a fireplace installation or replacement of an existing one.

I absolutely LOVE my gas log insert!!! As soon as I walked into the showroom I knew I was in good hands. Don answered all of my questions and helped me find the insert that fit my needs. His knowledge and expertise were invaluable. Pete came right away to measure my fireplace and begin formulating a plan for running a gas line to it. On the day of installation, Pete and his crew were exceptional. Courteous, professional, efficient. I can’t say enough about how good an experience it was. Reasonable prices with large selection of fireplace designs. Installer was on time and knowledgeable. He had to covert our old gas feed line and completed the installation in about 30 minutes. We would recommend Aspen to anyone interested in an artificial fireplace.
